Announcing support for Cellular connection in Anjay ESP32 Client

We're thrilled to announce a dual connectivity option introduced in our LwM2M client for ESP32-based devices: from now you can use either the new cellular connection, or connect the usual way, via WiFi.

AVSystem products: Anjay + Coiote IoT DM

Anjay is a library that implements the OMA Lightweight Machine to Machine protocol. Supporting multiple integration layers, including one for ESP32, it leverages the development of lightweight IoT devices. By choosing our LwM2M Client you get:

  • Deep integrations with popular chipsets,

  • Out-of-the-box standarized FOTA,

  • Credentials management,

  • Security by design,

  • Knowledge base with tutorials - dev-zone,

  • Support of the embedded specialists.

This is all you need to create energy-efficient systems, reduce time-to-market, and take advantage of all the LwM2M offerings. Also we take an innovative approach to business by forming strong relationships with other IoT technological leaders, making technology easy and accessible just for you.

Coiote IoT Device Management is a scalable LwM2M based IoT platform for complete device lifecycle management. It’s the solution for IoT ops teams, as it provides a breadth of insightful data, enabling real-time resolution of any device-related issues. An intuitive graphical user interface makes device bootstrapping and device configuration easier than ever. Auto-discovery features enable rapid device onboarding – Coiote IoT DM automatically detects device capabilities and shows them in the GUI. This saves you money and speeds up time-to-market.

Achieve IoT project success faster with our expertise.
Speed up your time to market using LwM2M standardization and pre-built integrations for hardware and the cloud.

What is ESP32?

ESP32 is a series of modules designed by the Espressif Systems - an advanced and professional IC design company that provides low-power Wi-Fi and Bluetooth SoCs and wireless solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) applications. ESP32 can interface with other systems to provide Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality through its SPI / SDIO or I2C / UART interfaces. It works for a wide range of applications.

How to set up a cellular connection in Anjay ESP32 Client?

To integrate your ESP32-based device you will need a BG96 module with an Internet connection, installed ESP-IDF, dependencies, and a user with access to the Coiote IoT Device Management platform. Check out the step-by-step tutorial in our Anjay Integration tab on the AVSystem’s IoT Developer Zone.
