Senior Front-End Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced front-end engineer, who can from time to time write an API for his views. We are currently in the process of redesigning our platform and rewriting it from Vaadin to Angular. The new application is relatively new (about 2 years) and you can heavily influence its growth. We are using the most recent version of the Angular, Typescript, and in-house component library, which is an extension of the Angular Material (currently used by 4 products in our company), following the best practices along the way. We are working closely with UI/UX designers and the developers from other specializations on a daily basis. From the business perspective, you can take a part in designing features in the context of an emerging IoT market.
What makes you a perfect candidate?
- At least 4 years of professional experience,
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Strong communications skills and self-organization, being able to work fully or partially remote
- Strong knowledge of the Angular, Typescript, RxJS, CSS/SCSS, and HTML
- Working experience with component libraries/design systems (e.g. Angular Material), participation in creating component libraries will be a plus
- Experience with design tools (e.g. Figma) from developers' perspective
- Understanding of UX concepts
- Familiar with software engineering good practices (e.g. code review, testing), using GIT and working in Agile methodology (Scrum)
- At least B2-level in English
- Experience with creating REST APIs (basic knowledge of Scala/Java will be a plus)
Your responsibilities
- Implementing new views in the Angular (13) application using reusable UI components
- Working in the cross-functional team with the UI/UX designers, technical writers, backend developers, and QA engineers
- Participate in creation of the new features, from designing and requirements gathering, through implementation to testing and deployment
- Mentoring younger developers
