Simplified device provisioning and monitoring KPIs

Overview

ConwayTV is a leading supplier of electrical appliances in the United Kingdom. Apart from that, the company also offers the fastest broadband services in Ireland. Recently, they upgraded their home deployment devices to AVM Fritz!box and were in need of an Auto Configuration Server that would give them the possibility to perform efficient device provisioning for these devices and monitor the most important KPIs.

Solution

AVSystem offered ConwayTV its cloud device management solution—Cloud ACS. The product helped the company set up their VoIP services remotely with zero-touch device provisioning. Thanks to the platform’s monitoring features, they were also able to track the current network usage of each customer. AVSystem also helped out with quality of service assurance by developing automatic procedures which allowed the operator to run an AVM vendor-specific Speed Test on their own Iperf server and easily access the results in the platform panel. Furthermore, ConwayTV used platform’s dynamic mass management features—their devices are migrated to a specific group automatically according to the custom condition in pre-defined migration rules.

Results

With AVSystem’s help, ConwayTV can perform device provisioning and monitor the quality of their services with the click of a single button. This is very unique, as there is no such feature in other ACS platforms. Smart device grouping in Cloud ACS enabled the operator to organize their work more efficiently by being able to provide services customized to each site. What’s more, AVSystem’s platform has been fully personalized to meet the requirements of ConwayTV and as a result the company can now remotely manage their devices with TR-069 protocol using methods that are tailored to their needs.
