AVSystem with leading scores in MachNation’s IoT Device Management ScoreCard 2021

awards 18 August 2021

For the fourth consecutive year, AVSystem's Coiote IoT Device Management platform has been featured in MachNation's scorecard, receiving leading scores for platform integration, lifecycle management, and architecture. Thus, independent experts confirm yet again that AVSystem is one of the leading IoT device management vendors on the market.

This year, MachNation’s scorecard evaluated 12 vendors based on 18 factors from four categories: lifecycle management, architecture and security, integration, and business and strategy.

AVSystem has been recognized for its far-reaching efforts in promoting the LwM2M standard and making it easier for developers to create LwM2M-based IoT ecosystems. AVSystem facilitates that with its Anjay LwM2M SDK, which supports both LwM2M v.1.0 and v.1.1. What’s more, Anjay has been recently successfully integrated with a variety of operating systems, such as Raspberry Pi, Zephyr, Mbed, and FreeRTOS. Furthermore, AVSystem took another step towards bridging the learning gap by launching an IoT Developer Zone last year that features relevant documentation, developer articles, video tutorials, and webinars.

AVSystem has also been praised for redesigning parts of the platform’s user interface, including dashboards and device inventories. This improves the platform usability for IoT operations engineers and makes it more customizable in terms of white labeling.

Finally, the hierarchical structure and flexibility in device grouping have been marked as the platform’s stand-out features. These allow for multitenancy, extensive data aggregation, group monitoring, and bulk management – all of which are critical in large-scale and heterogeneous IoT deployments.

A detailed analysis of the platform can be found in AVSystem’s snapshot.

As ever, we are proud to be ranked so high in MachNation’s IoT Device Management ScoreCard, and we agree with MachNation’s astute observations about our platform. We are committed to constantly improving our product and continuing to lead the IoT device management market, so this report both validates our previous efforts and gives us valuable guidance on where to focus them next, says Marcin Nagy, D.Sc., Product Director IoT at AVSystem.
