Ownit Broadband Deploys AVSystem Unified Device Management Platform to Manage Their TR-069 Devices

Customers & Partners 04 August 2014

AVSystem, a market leader in multi-protocol device management, announced today that it has been chosen by Ownit, a rapidly growing Swedish Internet Service Provider, to replace their old-generation ACS.

“We have chosen AVSystem UMP over other available solutions due to its powerful and flexible XML scripting language, easy new device integration and non-TR-069 protocols support. Other products using standard solutions, which were not designed from scratch for device provisioning, generate many more problems in such an operational context”, said Jörgen Lindqvist, CTO at Ownit Broadband.

AVSystem’s flexibility and a powerful large-scale workflow engine were the main reasons for the engineering team in Ownit, who had been using an old-generation ACS system for limited scope management of their TR-069 devices, to choose UMP over other available solutions. AVSystem Unified Device Management Platform brings a lot more functionalities allowing Ownit’s engineers to offer new services and greatly improve their customers’ service experience. The whole implementation process focuses mostly on the VoIP services with further service extensions planned in the near future.

Ownit, in addition to the powerful back end, will benefit from AVSystem’s solution thanks to its extended monitoring capabilities, a reporting engine and a non-TR-069 management module using a truly unified approach to modern device management & monitoring.
