AVSystem’s flagship product, Uinfied Device Management Platform, was thoroughly evaluated and chosen by UPC Poland, the leader in digital cable services: television, broadband Internet and telephony, to fulfill a role of a central point for the Quality of Experience ecosystem.
UMP is accompanied by multiple TEC installations spread out throughout the country acting as probes for QoE tests. All those elements were orchestrated to perform automated QoE tests and calculate required Key Performance Indexes from the tests results. KPIs are presented and delivered in a flexible manner using a proven UMPs interface and a reporting engine.
Not only was UMP, as an out-of-the-box solution, ready to perform this type of an operation but also it provided an extra benefit of automated TEC systems management. Moreover, by using TR-069 for TEC probes, deployment of UMP with QoE contributed significantly to minimize UPC’s operational costs.
Background:
In January 2014, Polish Office of Electronic Communications (National Regulatory Authority) issued a memo with the intention of delivering unified information about end-user quality of experience. The memo, signed by dozens of ISPs from Poland, defined unique requirements for KPIs delivery.
AVSystem, with its UMP product, delivers a complete system complying to the requested QoE standards.
