In a typical manufacturing/supplying product company, both management and working teams face many challenges, ranging from employee safety or security of the equipment, to optimal use of storage space and minimizing the time spent on finding the right tool or on assigning a worker to a free stand. An important aspect is also the efficiency of work as well as the possibility of reducing the negative effects of a potential incident on the company's premises. AVSystem came up with an idea fit for Industry 4.0 — a smart factory that deals with aforementioned problems. The solution uses the Coiote IoT Data Orchestration platform and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) — a proven standard that ensures low cost and ease of implementation.
When in need, employees can call for help thanks to small devices (panic buttons) that are always carried by them. Their status is permanently monitored and any employee can be immediately located in case of an emergency.
Application/system administrator can define what areas are monitored and assign sensors to them. He also adds assets to the system and controls user access.
Coiote IoT Data Orchestration platform collects data from sensors such as humidity, proximity, temperature, noise, activity etc. This means you can monitor not only people and equipment but also entire spaces.
You can visualize collected data based on the selected space of the floor plan (i.e. building/floor/hall and so on) and easily gather information about interesting statuses to generate notifications about potential threats and extraordinary situations and act upon them.
