OSS (Operations Support Systems) are systems used by telco operators to manage their network including maintaining network inventory, service provisioning, network configuration, managing faults and more. BSS stands for business support systems and adresses general customer management (dealing with customers, processing bills, collecting payments etc.) as well as revenue management and product management, among others. The two systems together fullfil a role of supporting various end-to-end telecommunication services.
