AVSystem, leader in end-user devices provisioning and management software for the communication industry and Visible Energy, Inc., creator of connected home energy conservation and management products, today announced availability of new ACS platform by AVSystem that allows remote management of Visible Energy products on widely adopted guidelines established by the Broadband Forum, namely TR-069 and Auto Configuration Server (ACS) infrastructure.
AVSystem is showcasing their Unified Device Management Platform and ACS software with the integrated energy management capability September 27-29 at the 2011 Broadband World Forum taking place in Paris, the world premier broadband event. AVSystem is inviting interested parties at its presentation of the combined solution to its booth J7 at CNIT during the conference.
Visible Energy consumer products are centered around the UFO Power Center, a Wi-Fi enabled, four-outlet power management center. The EnergyUFO software application is used to wirelessly control and monitor energy consumption of the appliances powered by the UFO Power Center. The EnergyUFO software application displays energy usage and provides remote control and programming capabilities. The application is available for Apple’s iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
“I am convinced that the new AVSystem software is of great relevance for broadband service operators in their foray into energy management services,” said Marco Graziano, Visible Energy co-Founder and CEO. “Being able to use existing provisioning and management infrastructure eliminates one more hurdle towards the adoption of innovative products and services for energy efficiency. The broadband service operators can play an important role for energy saving products to hit home.”
Graziano, a Silicon Valley veteran CEO and entrepreneur, started Visible Energy to help consumers save energy as easily as possible.
“Our software enables the communication industry to integrate innovative energy management products from Visible Energy with the current TR-069 based infrastructure,” said Slawomir Wolf, AVSystem CEO and R&D Director. “Our flagship VoiceIP-ACS Unified Device Management Platform integrates many types of TR-069 devices while delivering abstraction and adaptation layers for the ones that do not have native TR-069 support.”
