Unified Device Management Platform Chosen by Gagnaveita Reykjavíkur for FTTH ONT Device Provisioning and Monitoring

Customers & Partners 19 January 2015

Gagnaveita Reykjavikur, the largest constantly growing optic cable network owner in Iceland, has selected AVSystem’s UMP as their core device management platform for FTTH ONT Device Provisioning and Monitoring.

Gagnaveita Reykjavikur offers a wide range of services for houses and businesses connected via FTTH. Moreover, by cooperating with multiple service providers it ensures effective competition. What is important, each customer has a possibility to purchase services operated on a single fiber optic cable from many providers, which forces the necessity to allow several service providers to seamlessly and transparently manage a single FTTH router in multitenant virtualized environment. AVSystem’s UMP has proved its technical superiority over competitors in this regards.

By choosing AVSystem’s solution, Gagnaveita will benefit greatly by receiving not only a flexible and powerful tool for device provisioning and configuration (including non TR-069 ones), but also by facilitated monitoring of services provided over Gagnaveita’s network infrastructure.

“After studying several ACS solutions for some time, we selected the AVSystem UMP as our core device management platform. The UMP’s capability of dealing with non TR-069 devices and its extreme flexibility really made our selection easy”, said Jon Ingi Ingimundasson, CTO of Gagnaveita.
